Indonesia is a country filled with many islands of different ethnic groups (Balinese, Javanese, etc) and cultural roots. In this largest Asian archipelago of over 17,000 islands, what makes Bali so special in drawing huge flocks of tourists all year round?
Bali, as the smallest province of Indonesia, inhabits about over 4 million people with 85% of them being Hindu (I was surprised). In Bali, the wet and humid season lasts from November to March/April, and following months will, of course, be summer. Frankly speaking, one shouldn’t worry about the wet season because the rainfall only lasts for a short moment. Dark clouds will loom, precipitation will occur for about less than an hour, and it’ll become sunny and bright again! That’s something I love about Bali, being a sunshine lover. However, when night falls, the wind will rage mercilessly.
